Kathy Teyler Jarrett

Kathy Teyler Jarrett grew up in Illinois and Oregon. She graduated from Vassar College and then returned home to attend Portland State University. She taught English and public speaking for more than twenty years. Her marriage to her husband Ben was full of laughter, love, and travel until his diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia, when she devoted herself to caregiving.

Since Ben’s passing, Kathy has begun a local support group for LBD caregivers. She has appeared on local TV, speaking about LBD and caregiving. She has also given webinars and talks, and was awarded Volunteer of the Year from the Lewy Body Dementia Association in 2019.
